“There is a real duality in Balenciaga, between classicism and experimentation," explains Nicholas Ghesquière, Creative Director of the famous fashion house. "For this new fragrance, I wanted to explore that paradox between the pure and the enigmatic.”
The face of Florabotanica is Hollywood star Kristen Stewart, who’s celebrated repertoire is the perfect match for Balenciaga - her innocence and vulnerability as Snow White and Twilight’s Bella contrasting with the rebellious and defiant Joan Jett in The Runaways.
The bottle itself is worth getting your hands on, encased in printed florals and statement monochrome stipes, taken from the Autumn Winter 2011 Balenciaga collection.
