EAT DRINK BRISTOL FASHION

We'll be giving dinners a taste of our delicious dishes at this month’s Eat Drink Bristol Fashion. The annual festival runs from Monday May 13 until Monday May 27 in Queen Square with a carnival of the very best food, drink and entertainment that the city has to offer.

Housed once again in a spectacular tipi village, the striking venue will include two public bars open until late, a casual dining café serving modern British tapas and a formal restaurant that will be taken over by one of the city’s leading restaurants each night.

Our award-winning Louise McCrimmon, from our Second Floor, will take the evening slot on Sunday 26 May. She will offer a six-course menu at 6.30pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm giving guests a taste of the food she creates at our critically-acclaimed restaurant.

Inspired by the season and using the very best local produce, the menu will feature Wye Valley asparagus mousse with black pudding scotch egg; pressed rabbit terrine, English salad and tarragon salad cream; confit wild sea trout with samphire and gazpacho dressing; and glazed belly pork, slow cooked shoulder, seared scallop and pork scratching crust with broad beans and chorizo. To finish, there’s artisan cheese, pickled grapes and Pedro Ximenez jelly as well as wild berry, champagne and elderflower jelly, strawberry crisps and elderflower cream.

Tickets for each sitting cost £60 per head and are available on line here. For more information, contact the Second Floor Restaurant on 0117 916 8898.
