ON THE CATWALK: S/S13 FASHION SHOW

ON THE CATWALK: S/S13 FASHION SHOW

We certainly wowed Bristol's fashionistas with the most exclusive runway show the city has ever seen! Staged at the beautiful Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, our high-fashion catwalk showcased striking S/S13 collections from the likes of Peter Pilotto, Christopher Kane, Victoria, Victoria Beckham, Mary Katrantzou and Alexander McQueen.

The event also featured a couple of famous faces - Next Top Model stars Jade, who won the British series in 2011, and Alisha, who took America by storm in this year's British Invasion.

Trends included Colour Pop, Monochrome, Floral Fantasy, Neon and Prints. The models' hair was created by Sean Hanna with makeup by the instore team at Shu Uemura and nails by Nails Inc.

STORE NEWS: REVEALING THE NEW BREED

STORE NEWS: REVEALING THE NEW BREED

Harvey Nichols The New Breed

Between the superstars that dazzle in the fashion firmament, there is a galaxy of twinkling gems ... these innovators, conceptualists, shining talents and early adopters are the new breed”
– Paula Reed, Fashion Director at Harvey Nichols

We love our latest innovative advertising campaign – The New Breed (OK, so we may be a little biased, but sure you'll agree!). Shot by prominent fashion photographer Miles Aldridge and styled by Harry Lambert, the campaign stars Spud the British Bulldog, Dozer, an English Bull Terrier, and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Pepper all being carried in this season’s most sought-after arm candy.

The idea plays on the high fashion cliché of the ‘handbag dog’ and replaces the more commonly spotted Chihuahuas and Shih Tzus with a much tougher-looking pooch and shining the spotlight on a ‘new breed’ of accessible fashion.

The line-up of design stars featured throughout includes Kenzo Paris, Theyskens’ Theory, Sandro, Equipment, Alice and Olivia, J Brand, Michael Michael Kors and Sophie Hulme. Selected items from the campaign are available in store or can be ordered via Click and Collect from our Personal Shopping team.

Please note: We can confirm that no dogs were harmed during the shooting of this campaign. However, a McQ Alexander McQueen necklace mysteriously went missing, but Spud denies any involvement …
