SHOWCASING FASHION'S ELITE
 
DATE FOR YOUR DIARY: TUESDAY MARCH 25

Next month we will unveil the very latest designer must-haves at our eagerly-anticipated new season Fashion Show. Renowned as the most important event on the city’s style calendar, the evening will showcase our exclusive international and contemporary collections.

The S/S14 catwalk event will be staged on Tuesday March 25 at the historic Cutlers Hall in Quakers Friars and will feature striking ranges from Erdem, Kenzo, Stella McCartney, Gucci, Mary Katrantzou, Christian Louboutin and Helmut Lang.

Guests can choose to attend either the 7pm or 8pm show and tickets cost £15, which includes an invite to the Champagne reception. Following the show, guests can enjoy refreshments and an exclusive 15% discount in store.
 
The fashion show experience can be made even more special with one of two packages: a mini makeover, Champagne manicure by Nails Inc and entry to the show for £30; or a three-course meal in the Second Floor Restaurant and entry to the show for £35.

CELEBRATE 'BROW ARCH MARCH' WITH BENEFIT!
 
Join Benefit next month and celebrate Brow Arch March! Our in-store team will be helping to raise money for Look Good Feel Better - simply come along to our Benefit counter and for a requested voluntary donation of £5 you can have a complimentary brow shape (worth £11.50).
 
The aim is to raise vital funds and awareness for Look Good Feel Better, the only international cancer charity which focuses on problems associated with the visible side effects of cancer treatment.

WHAT'S ON: BEAUTY SCHOOL DROP OUT!

Join us as we celebrate all that is beautiful about beauty! We're hosting our first Beauty School Drop Out next month, featuring classes, games and demonstrations.
 
The event will be staged on Wednesday March 4 - enjoy a glass of bubbly as you learn the season's trends, tricks of the trade and the latest makeup bag must-haves. You can get creative in the “Art Department” and also be in with the chance to win exclusive beauty prizes when you take part in our playground games.

S/S14 MEN'S TREND ... WE'VE GOT THE BLUES!

Turquoise, cerulean, sky, powder or baby, blue was a catwalk favourite for S/S14. Lanvin went for shade on shade with top to toe colour blocking while Hermès opted for a pastel palette with pale blue suits teamed with darker shirts.

A WORK OF ART – MARY KATRANTZOU S/S14

Mary Katrantzou has fast become renowned for her intelligent use of illusory digital patterns and her S/S14 collection continues to showcase her signature kaleidoscopic designs. Taking inspiration comes from the art of trompe l'oeil, her eye-catching range uses striking hyper-real prints to ensure her pieces are some of this season’s most sought after.

Her latest designs feature blooming English roses, delicate Chinoiserie and Japanese cherry blossom. Each piece is flattering and easy to wear, injected with beautiful bursts of magenta, blue colour into every piece.

THIS SEASON’S MUST-HAVE ARM CANDY
 
Sophie Hulme’s range of must-have bags feature her signature “armour city” look, with statement brass plates on boxy leather totes for a look that oozes minimalist luxury with a tough edge.

One of fashion’s brightest rising stars, Sophie graduated from Kingston University and was awarded Student of the Year and Best Collection in 2007. She has continued that success, working on collaborations with Nike, Absolut and most recently Globe Trotter.

“I’m drawn to pieces that are well made,” explains Sophie, “and this has inspired the quality and traditional craftsmanship in my designs. I work with classics, adapting them to feel modern so that my pieces can be kept throughout the years.”

NEW SEASON WINDOWS GIVEN A NATURAL THEME
 
We’ve unveiled our new window displays for spring, offering a calm and relaxed view of the latest trends. The displays at our Quakers Friars store uses natural materials to showcase the S/S14 collections from the likes of Pinko, Caractère, Alexander McQueen, Helmut Lang, Christian Louboutin and Mulberry.

Colours are kept muted, with an on-trend palette of khaki, silver, grey and cream, with added pops of colour in bold red, yellow and blue.
